I’d always had a yearning to play guitar… So when my better half surprised me on my birthday with a ‘Starter Pack’ acoustic, and a paid up lesson at Twang Tuition, I threw myself into learning to play.

Paul was welcoming from the start… The Studio had only just been completed back then, and was a great backdrop to learn any instrument in. As I fumbled along to the tunes which Paul patiently eased me through that day, I knew I was hooked.

It’s not easy for those of us with a few years under our belt to learn new tricks…. But Paul was patient and thorough, and blended the prefect amount of theory, technical skills and good old guitar thrashing songs, to keep my interest high and my progress gradually moving forward.

I met not only a great teacher and a great guitarist in Paul, but also a great friend… From the bottom of my heart, I would recommend Twang Tuition to anyone wanting to learn guitar, young or old.

I’ll never play the Albert Hall, I started too late… But I can almost guarantee that someday, someone taught by Paul Thompson will.
